I definitely get why everyone talks about these griddle cakes so much! The cakes themselves are super unique with a really strong oatmeal flavor, and I absolutely love the crispy edges. The maple butter is the star of the show, though, taking the pancakes to a whole new level. As for the hashbrowns, they were just okay. Every time I see these fancy hashbrowns on a menu I already know they're not going to be as good as the classic kind you get at IHOP--but it was a fine salty pair for the super sweet pancakes

My first time at Salt's Cure and I loved it. I went on a Sunday during brunch time around noon. We were sat quickly and noticed a couple empty tables. As we finished ordering, people were waiting for tables. We got lucky! I love a simple menu and love it when the food comes out like it's farm to table style. You order a burger and you get a burger. Everything was delicious and the coffee was good too. The server recommended the oatmeal griddle cakes and they were good. I would share the griddle cakes because it's more heavy and sweet. I definitely want to come back for their dinner menu! Great service and ambiance.

I love this place. The oat pancakes and the unique drinks are the lifesaver and reason they get my attention for sure. They also have great service. Parking is typical LA metered street parking and limited but if you leave nearby, walking is a huge plus. It's a cute ambiance with giving you and inside outside vibe and industrial but cozy.

Salts cure absolutely never disappoints. I tell everybody I know to try this spot because the food tastes like every ingredient was bought at a local farmers market. In particular, I keep returning for the 5-star service by Madelyn. I have experience in hospitality and can tell Madelyn knows how to keep the restaurant running like a well oiled machine!! I don't know how she does it, but she continually makes sure everyone in the restaurant has everything they need and that they feel welcome, even during the busiest hours. PROPS!!!!! Everyone please come try this food. Other shout outs: Jonathan, JD, Matthew, Linda. Marlene, and Danny!!!!!

I read on reddit that this place has one of the best B.L.A.T. sandwiches in LA so I decided to drop by. Unfortunately, it was not on the current menu therefore I had to pivot :( However, everything here was absolutely delicious!! We arrived with our dog and they were super friendly to our little girl, providing water for her (without even asking), and allowing us to sit where ever we pleased. We went for a pretty simple breakfast order but was amazed by EVERYTHING. ALL-STAR - The OG pancakes is not something I would ever order or try but these were delicious. They are hearty yet light at the same time. The sausage patties were divine, prefectly juicy with a savory bite. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The BACON, the bacon, the bacon was so good. They are super thick cut but still crispy while also tender (if that even makes sense?!). SIDE AVOCADO - Absolutely approciate a seasoned avocado. SIDE BISCUITS - Biscuits can be difficult to get right because most places make them on the dryer side. However, this one was so moist and buttery! At first I was going to ask for butter on the side but after taking a bite, I realized it did not need any at all. The seasonal jam was a bit on the tart side but i prefer that over something super sweet. I absolutely will come back for the hash browns and biscuits and gravy, as we were too full to order those!

I came here to have brunch with some friends who absolutely love this place and I can see why. It's quite a delightful restaurant! Upon walking in, you'll notice that the restaurant is very open and airy and you have a choice of sitting in a enclosed cozy patio area, at one of the tables inside, at a bar or at a long communal table. I heard so much about their oatmeal griddle cakes so I got those and figured it would be a light brunch since I wasn't having any sausages or bacon with it. I was wrong. These griddle cakes are quite hearty and so tasty! When they were served to me, I was expecting to get a side of maple syrup to pour over them but my friends told me that the molasses butter was all that I needed. I was skeptical at first but after the first bite I realized I was wrong. It was just the perfect amount of sweetness! My friends were telling me that Salt's Cure sells the mix for these griddle cakes but for some reason my friends could never get the griddle cakes to turn out the same way the restaurant serves them. My guess is the restaurant cooks them on the same surface they cook the bacon and sausage on so they're using a lot of that grease to get the griddle cakes crispy on the edges yet soft and fluffy on the inside. If that's not the case, then they're using a generous amount of oil to cook them in to get them crispy. Whatever it is, these griddle cakes are so delicious. Maybe the next time I'm there for brunch, I'll build up my appetite and get their All Star breakfast that has the sausage, bacon, eggs and the oatmeal griddle cakes!

Although I'm not a fan of Food Network personality/chef Bobby Flay, I did see the show he did with his daughter (a USC alum) where they came here for breakfast. I was actually staying closer to the West Hollywood branch of Breakfast by Salt's Cure (which also has locations in Santa Monica plus 2 in New York), but came here to Salt's Cure because it has a larger menu, more seating and takes reservations. They open at 9 am for breakfast; I was the first customer. Signage outside is small and easily missed. Several of the adjacent buildings say "Bond" on them; my waitress said they are a large entertainment marketing agency. Salt's Cure is famous for their griddle cakes; here they only serve the original version, while Breakfast by SC has about 9 varieties including vegan options. I ordered the most bountiful breakfast, the All Star, which includes 2 sausages, 2 bacon (I think I got 3-4), 2 eggs, a biscuit with jam and 2 OG griddle cakes. I added their hash browns with slow n' low ketchup, plus half an avocado with chili salt. Everything was delish and substantial. The meats are house-made, as are the biscuit, jam, hash browns and ketchup. The griddle cakes come with a molasses cinnamon butter and NO syrup (don't even ask for it!). I'm not sure if the bacon here is the same as at Breakfast by SC, because there they call it picnic ham. And the hash browns, gorgeous thick fried wedges, seem exclusive to SC; Breakfast by SC has home fries. Service was just okay, despite the lack of customers, but I would return. Street parking is pretty easy on a weekday morning

Despite some of the negative reviews, I decided to come here because I like their oatmeal pancakes from their other location. Service was great, we got seated quickly and did not wait long for our food. Came out quick, in my opinion. I really liked their hash browns! We also got the all star, and the biscuits and gravy. For me personally there was too much gravy but it still tasted good. Everything was great in the all star breakfast, but the bacon was basically thin slices of pork? It's definitely less saltier than a traditional bacon. My only wish for this place is that they start serving espresso drinks.
